Karen Caswell
Professional Coach
Sometimes we all need clarity wrapped in kindness. Especially after great difficulty or chaos.
Hi, my name is Karen Caswell and I’m the Founder of Fresh Clarity Coaching. I help professional women gain clarity, momentum & wholeness after a painful or chaotic season. Weighty life challenges can take a toll.
If you want greater clarity plus restored confidence – I can help. I’ve been in your shoes.
Â
For 25+ years, I was privileged to serve Fortune 500 and private companies, startups and nonprofits – including faith-based. In both business consulting and “client-side” strategy and research roles, my signature strength was to simplify complexity to facilitate wise decision-making.
Often, I could intuitively discern the client's "bottom line" issue, the likely root cause(s), and a clear path forward for them.
Meanwhile, outside of work for the past 25+ years, I had taken classes, read the Bible and volunteered at church and other ministries. I was learning how to help others - to offer wise counsel and encourage others who were struggling with life pressures. In doing so, I found that my "simplifying complexity" consulting gift could also bless individuals, not just organizations.
Typically, the women I helped in those settings were juggling work, family and myriad other demands. Most had gone through very challenging circumstances.
I loved leveraging my skills and experience to help them.
I understand how they felt. I'd gone through my own difficult seasons.Â
Then...I myself went through an especially painful season of life, with overlapping trials. Challenges in multiple “categories” of life for several years. Divorce, the deaths of three family members and a best friend, clearing out multiple households, health concerns, financial pressures, and moving to a town where I knew no one. All this plus “regular life stuff” and career.
Even with other rich blessings, the disappointment and sheer disorientation were rough.
Organization is a strength, but at times I felt overwhelmed and alone. A low point was unpacking into a new home. My heart wasn’t in it. I felt confused, in pain, and frankly just depleted.
But I couldn't shake this verse from my mind: "The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made." Ps. 145:9
(I knew that verse well. It was from years prior, when I'd read the Bible by myself, in depth. To try and glean God's true character vs. my wrong perception of Him.)
The word "all" stood out. It's so radical: good to ALL...compassion on ALL. "All" included me. I clung to that verse and others. [BTW, contact me if you'd like encouraging verses for whatever you're going through - happy to send.]
Well, thankfully necessity remains the mother of invention. That “simplifying complexity” gift eventually kicked in. And, over time, it powerfully ordered my life and sparked momentum.
Along the way, I myself was on the receiving end of a good bit of counseling and ministry. While much of it blessed, eventually I longed for more of a "professional coach" type option:
- Someone who could personally relate to the complexities of my work.
- A customized approach - "cutting to the chase" of what I needed vs. a standardized format.
- If possible, a wee bit of flexibility. E.g., an ad hoc email, text or call between sessions. Sometimes you just need that.
- A safe sounding board to encourage me toward my most desired outcome.
- Steeped in the Father's love.
With a heart to serve other professional women with similar needs, I founded Fresh Clarity Coaching.
If you are ready for greater clarity, momentum & all-around well-being - or simply have a question - I'd be delighted to assist.
Just message me via the "Contact" tab, above. I'd love to hear from you.
